Beach
Geologically speaking, a beach is that part of an ocean, sea, river, or lake shore washed by tides or waves. Beyond that the beach is a font of memories, a promise of pleasure, and a way of life where building a sandcastle vies with a game of volleyball or hunting for driftwood as the most significant activity of the day. And although few beaches can rival the beauty or fame of the French Riviera, Brazil’s Copacabana, or Waikiki in Hawaii, even the most humble can match their capacity to provide enjoyment and relaxation.
